Bordeaux Wines

Château Tour de Guiet & Château La Bretonniere

These two wines are excellent examples of the huge strides being made in the previously less fashionable regions of Bordeaux. Blaye and Bourg face Saint-Julien and Margaux respectively on the Right Bank of the river Gironde. They are wines with a strong reliance on Merlot in their blend producing ripe, soft, lush, Cassis and Morello cherry style fruit. The Bretonniere has a lot of charm with its toasty creamy oaking, whereas the Tour de Guiet comes with or without oak and is a bit more structured. The Tour de Guiet oaked version will cellar very well for the next 3 to 4 years.
